Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajeev Ranjan Prasad born on 5th September, 1966 at Village - Tarhari in the District of Lakhisarai. His father Sri Umesh Prasad Singh is a Senior Advocate at Patna High Court. He did his B.Com from Patna University and then went to Hansraj College, Delhi University for one year Special Certificate Course in Commerce and having secured First Position in First Division he was enrolled in the Post Graduation Course in the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, he left the said programme and joined LL.B programme to make his career in law. He passed out LL.B from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in First Division in the year 1991. He started his practice in the Patna High Court on 26.8.1991 and after bifurcation of the State of Bihar w.e.f. 15.11.2000, set-up his office also at Ranchi and then at Kolkata. He argued a number of cases in the Jharkhand High Court at Ranchi, he argued cases before Hon'ble Calcutta and Delhi High Courts, Company Law Board, B.I.F.R., A.A.I.F.R and National Company Law Tribunal at Kolkata.

He worked for several Central as well as State Governments' Organization in the capacity of Retainer / Additional Retainer Advocate. He was working for the L.I.C. of India, Central Bank of India, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority, Bihar State Industrial Development Corporation, Infrastructure Development Authority, Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation and was also working as a Law Officer for the Economic Offences Unit, Bihar, Patna. He was a leading Lawyer in company matters, contract and commercial litigations, service matters and civil matters.
