Born on 24th January, 1961 at Amreli.

Graduated in Microbiology from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad in 1980.

Obtained Law degree in the year 1985 from M. S. University, Baroda.

Did LL.M. in the year 1989 from Saurashtra University and received Gold Medal in Master of Laws by securing 1st Class and First in the University in December, 1990.

Obtained Doctorate in the subject “Constitutional Law” in the year 1995 from Saurashtra University.

Father Chimanlal Joshi was Superintendent of Customs.

Initially worked as Part-time Lecturer of Law and started practicing Law from 1986 with Senior Advocate late Shri Sharadbhai Jhaveri. And also with Shri Bipinbhai Jhaveri, the Senior Most Lawyer at Jamnagar. (Jhaveri & Jhaveri Advocates)

Appointed as Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate, First Class in the year 1991.

Served as Under Secretary, GSLSA at High Court of Gujarat, Ahmedabad.

Promoted as Senior Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate.

Worked as Project Officer, GSLSA at High Court of Gujarat, Ahmedabad and served at 24 x 7 at Legal Services Clinic, first of its kind in the whole world whose founder is Hon'ble Dr. Justice J.N.Bhatt, the then Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Gujarat and the then Hon'ble Chief Justice of Patna High Court and former Chairman of Human Rights Commission, Gujarat State.

Promoted as Assistant Judge and Additional Sessions Judge and also worked as Judge of the Fast Track Courts at various districts.
